Evolution Aerostyling, formerly Av Source, is a family owned company, two generations in the making, deeply rooted in the aviation industry and focused on the general aviation and business aircraft market.

Founder Terry Hockman started in aviation in the US Navy. After leaving military service, Terry worked on the assembly line at Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach as a sheet metal fabricator building their newest aircraft the DC-8. Next he went on to work for United Airlines were he obtained his A&P license.

After having his two sons, Elmo and Eric Hockman, He returned to his wife, Peggy to her home state where he started his first aviation business in Dexter, Missouri. After performing maintenance services for many years, customers finally convince him to begin painting aircraft. Soon after, aircraft painting became the main focus of the business. Eventually the business expanded to include interiors and aircraft fabric work.

From a young age, both sons were inducted into the aviation world. Growing up both boys had hands on experience with painting and reupholstering aircraft. The oldest son, Elmo followed in the footsteps of his father and served in the US Navy in the aviation field. After leaving the service in 1994, he joined the company and has remained in key positions since. The youngest son, Eric pursued other interests but eventually returned to aviation, joining Av Source with his father, Terry in 1992. In 1997 Eric took a position as Completions Manager directing the refurbishing operations for turboprop and jet aircraft company. In 2006 Eric returned to provide the company with interior and cabinet services through his company Evolution Aerostyling.

In 2001, the company moved its operations to Midland, Texas. The more favorable climate provided more consistent operating conditions year round. The move has proven to be a wise move for the company. Av Source has had success and growth in the years since the move and look forward to more years of continued expansion of the company and services.

In 2009, leadership of the company was passed on to Eric Hockman and the company is moving forward under the new banner of Evolution Aerostyling. With the combined knowledge of the two companies, as well as the innovative interior modification products newly being launched, Evolution Aerostyling stands ready to bring level of excellence to the General Aviation market.
